Introduction

What the SalePilot Agency API does, and the concepts everything else in this reference builds on.

What this API does

SalePilot Agency puts WhatsApp Business Platform infrastructure behind a single REST API. We handle onboarding, Meta credentials, Cloud API calls, delivery, retries and the 24-hour customer-service window. Your platform keeps its own business logic — a chatbot, a CRM, a case management system — and decides what to say. We decide how Meta wants to hear it.

The API is organized around a handful of resources: organizations, whatsapp channels, messages, templates, flows, webhooks, and media. Every one of them is documented with real request and response examples in the API Reference.

Key concepts

Organizations

Each of your clients is an organization — an independent boundary with its own WhatsApp number, messages, templates and flows. Nothing crosses between organizations.

API keys & scopes

Every request is authenticated with a bearer token carrying specific scopes. A key can also be restricted to named organizations, so a compromised key exposes only what it was scoped to.

Messages & templates

Send free-form text inside the 24-hour customer service window, or a pre-approved template to start a conversation outside it. Templates go through WhatsApp review before they can send.

Webhooks & events

Inbound messages, delivery receipts and template status changes all arrive as signed webhook events — and every event is also readable on demand through the Events API if a delivery is ever missed.

Conventions

  • All requests and responses use application/json, over HTTPS only — plaintext HTTP requests are refused.
  • Every response carries an X-Request-ID header. Keep it — it is what identifies a request in a support conversation.
  • List endpoints are cursor-paginated with limit and starting_after, and return has_more so you know when to stop paging.
  • Timestamps are ISO 8601 in UTC (2025-05-21T10:15:30Z).
